The Kiddie Kompany Daycare Center was established in 1979, by Paula Propst.

Kiddie Kompany Daycare Center was founded in 1979 with just 21 children, and over the years we have grown into a thriving community of 75 ages 2-12. Despite our growth, we remain committed to creating a small, intimate setting where families feel supported and connected—like a true village. As a nature play–based center, we offer a homey, clean space that embraces nature, sparks imagination, and makes children feel comfortable and cared for. Our focus is on intentional and creative play that nurtures curiosity, fosters independence, and allows children to learn through meaningful experiences in the world around them.

For decades, Kiddie Kompany Daycare Center has built strong, lasting relationships with families of children with disabilities, developmental delays, and other unique needs. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive in a safe and welcoming space. Our team takes pride in tailoring our curriculum to each child’s individual strengths and challenges, ensuring they have the support, encouragement, and freedom to explore at their own pace.

Building a Brighter Future at Kiddie Kompany Daycare

At Kiddie Kompany, our educational philosophy is rooted in the belief that childhood should be filled with wonder, meaningful experiences, and time to grow at a natural pace. Inspired by Waldorf education and enriched with elements of Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and the child-centered practices found in Danish schools, our curriculum encourages children to learn through imagination, exploration, creativity, and purposeful play.

Each day, children are invited to discover the world through storytelling, art, music, gardening, practical life activities, outdoor adventures, and hands-on learning experiences that nurture the whole child. Rather than rushing academics, we build strong foundations in literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development through experiences that are engaging, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate. Our classrooms are intentionally screen-free, allowing children to connect with one another, their teachers, and the natural world.

We proudly offer flexible programming to meet the needs of today's families, including half-day preschool, full-day preschool, full-time childcare, part-time care, before- and after-school care, and exciting summer camp programs. During the summer months, children also enjoy our onsite swimming pool, where they participate in age-appropriate water exploration and swim instruction that helps build confidence, safety skills, and a lifelong love of the water in a fun and supportive environment.
